About Food Technology Corporation

Food Technology Corporation (FTC) was formed in 1966 by Dr. Ahmed Kramer, Dr. B.A. Twigg, and General Kinetics Incorporated following the acquisition of ALLO Inc. and the rights to the Kramer Shear Press. The company was chartered to develop products for the food industry and over the years FTC produced many diverse lines including optical inspection systems for apple sauce and plastics, tomato harvesters and tomato brine sorters.

The food texture testing line has always been at the heart of the company. In 1997 Food Technology's management purchased the company from General Kinetics. FTC is now privately owned and is managed by a team that has been with the company for almost 25 years. From research and quality assurance, to the production floor and the grower’s field, FTC systems are relied upon each and every day to provide essential quality information to the food industry.

Our philosophy has always been to understand the needs and challenges of our customers first and foremost. We never propose any system, accessory or piece of equipment unless it is assured to meet the customer’s requirement and expectations.

FTC has been the leading supplier of food texture measurement systems since 1966 for many reasons but mainly – because they WORK! Combine that with the legendary quality built into every FTC product, unequalled customer service and the decision becomes very clear.
