The TMS-Console makes quality control testing on a factory floor or production environment a much simpler task at an affordable price.

Texture measurements normally reserved for the laboratory can now be brought to the factory floor saving time, resource and money to instantly determine consistent standards within the raw or finished product.

Performing tests in tension and compression with run-to-load, deformation and time or break detection options, the TMS-Console combines programmability with very simple operation utilising a keypad interface and a Liquid Crystal Display. Operators on the production floor, for example, can quickly access programs stored in the systems memory and immediately begin testing, whilst supervisors access password-protected levels to set-up and store new test routines and control test settings.

For an all-in-one test system, which can handle the production area environment and provide the freedom to control and create new test routines to suit your requirements, the TMS-Console offers the ideal solution.

Programmable functionality

TMS Console Texture Analyser Panel

The TMS-Console uses a membrane multi-function keypad in conjunction with a backlit Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) to enable quick access to test menus and programming options.
When programming the system, the LCD displays a series of prompts and menus to guide users through the creation of up to 30 test procedures. Programmable safeguards are also included to avoid damaging the system. Password protection provides security so programs cannot be accidentally accessed and altered by other operators.

Straightforward operation

Once test routines have been programmed and stored within the TMS-Console, other operators need only select the relevant test from the menu screen and press ‘Start’ to begin testing.
For routine testing, this is invaluable in saving time and enables operators with minimal test programming experience to easily and quickly perform tests as and when required.

The TMS-Console offers a variety of test measurement options to enable full assessment of textural attributes, displaying results including; Peak load hardness, Average loads, Minimum load adhesive force, Rupture Force, Fracture and Break force, Bloom strength, Stress relaxation and many more.

The TMS-Console offers users on the factory floor and production area distinct advantages over expensive bulkier texture measurement systems.
It is designed as an all-in-one system to not only save space, but also complexity when undertaking routine testing to enabling quick, accurate and repeatable testing. The system ensures Critical Quality Points are established and maintained throughout production via a user-friendly console interface displaying test results with pass/fail indicators. Operators have the choice to perform texture measurements, which; run to load, deformation, time or break detection, effectively replicating the tests that could normally only be undertaken within a laboratory environment.

Food Technology Corporation offers 10 load cells in capacities ranging from 0.2kgf (0.4lbf) to 255kgf (560lbf). Their high precision (better than 0.2% of full-scale), together with FTC’s innovative load cell fixture design means you gain accurate performance as well as flexibility. Load cells and fixtures can be easily interchanged to enable a variety of textural properties to be measured in quick succession.

Designed with the user in mind, Food Technology Corporation’s range of test probes and fixtures comply with ISO and ASTM international test standards and are also exceptionally easy to fix onto and remove from the TMS-Pro texture measurement system.
