The Bending Test Cell is used to measure the bending and breaking strength or fracturability of such items as poultry bones, extruded candies, pastas, plant stems and other similar items. Forces required to cause bending or breaking are applied in a downward direction against the sample supported between two adjustable fulcrums. The test cell base is 10 inches long and contains an 8-inch adjustment slot, which allows the two support fulcrums to be separated to a desired distance and symmetrically or asymmetrically adjusted relative to the application force centerline. The upper pressure rod, providing the downward force, is secured to a standard attachment block, which is coupled to the load cell.
