The Thin Blade Shear Compression Cell CS-2 is similar to the CS-1 Standard Shear Compression Cell except that it employs thirteen (13) thin blades instead of the ten (10) thicker ones of the standard cells.

The thin blade cell is used for textural measurements on cooked rice, cereal, and other small unit products. The size and volume of the cell is identical to that of the Standard CS-1 cell. The cell lid has thirteen (13) slots, which accommodate the blades, each 1/16-inch in thickness.
