altFood Technology Corporation’s Lightweight Perspex Cylinder Probes enable penetration tests to be undertaken up to a maximum force of 500N. The AOAC Bloom is the standard fixture used for Gelatin Bloom testing.

The use of perspex means temperature sensitive texture measurements can be undertaken, obtaining accurate, repeatable results.

These probes have no sharp edges helping prevent cutting or breaking of the sample and are ideal for use on lower capacity load cells due to their low mass.

The probes are available in multiple sizes;

    * 25.4mm (1") diameter - 432-057
    * 38.1mm (1.5") diameter - 432-058

    * 12.7mm (0.5") diameter, AOAC standard Bloom probe - 432-061
    * 25.4mm (1") diameter, AOAC standard probe - 432-062

      Must be used in conjunction with:

          -TMS extension piece set (432-100)

    Optional fixtures:

          -TMS standard fixture table (432-243)

    * These fixtures are only recommended for texture measurement applications below 500N.
