TMS Volodkevich Bite Jaws

 

The TMS Volodkevich Bite Jaws from Food Technology Corporation use an established texture measurement technique to assess properties, such as the tenderness of meat.

The fixture consists of upper and lower 3mm diameter knife edges. The upper knife is attached to the texture analyzer loadcell and the lower securely fitted within the TMS standard fixture table. A sample is placed on the lower knife edge, whilst the loadcell moves the upper knife edge downwards to shear the sample in a guillotine like action.

This simulates the action of the front incisor teeth and enables a cross-section of the sample, up to 1cm, to be measured.

    * 6mm top thread and locking nuts fits:

          -Standard load cells via 10/32 to M6 thread adapter

          -Heavy-duty load cells via relevant M6 thread adapter supplied with load cell

      Must be used in conjunction with:

          -TMS extension piece set (432-100)

          -TMS standard fixture table (432-243)

    * This fixture is only recommended for texture measurement applications below 100N.
